I think your model is absolutely superb and has replaced much of my use of VRTool. However this morning and last night the winds for future time ( 12hr 24hr) do not coincide with the actual race game and VRTool predictions. Is this an error or am I missing the point and your model is now showing what the next wind shifts will actually be ie is ahead of the game in publishing the new data???. Unfortunately if I cant trust wind shifts then optimisation will be wrong. Help please.

Follow up to my earlier POST. The Sailing Simulator predictions turned out to be the right prediction!!

The forecasts appear 4 hours before they are applied to the game - that's the benefit of using GRIB files, and part of the advantage of the leaders.

What you see at the site as 12h forecast after 07:02 and 19:02 CET should appear in the game 4 hours later (unless something breaks - that have happened once)

Then intermediate forecasts are applied at 01h and 13h, so the 12h forecast is expected to be the same in VORG and the simulator only between 11h-13h and 23h-01h.
