Hey, i am new here, nice to have so helpful people here :)
I started playing ok 2 weeks ago, and i'm short on credits, buying is not an option. I know i wont be 1, or 100, 1000 would be hard, but one week in vor on my own, and the next one with this magnificent tool got me sth like 11th place(prowinch, heavysail and radio-i know now, radio's out-) Long story short :
What is a best optimum choice for no money gameplay? We can focus on upcoming races, JVT and RSH.
Thanks for your time,
Marry Christmas to you all.

Foils usually give you the best bang for the buck if you have few credits left from the previous race/leg.

Then probably comes the Code Zero (Reaching sail).

There could be exceptions (like strict upwind leg) where foils don't work and you could benefit from light/heavy sails combined with winches to benefit from frequent tacks without too much penalty.

Then you should also reserve at least 300 credits for programmer cards if you have the chance to buy them, because with the current barrel frequency it's unlikely that you'll get what you need for free.

You can simulate all possible outcomes in the router by selecting different options and checking the ETA (with the exception of pro winches. Keep them either on or off to get comparable results for the other options. Just keep in mind that full sail pack without pro winches may perform worse than just the basic sails in border weather conditions - let's say around 18 knots wind speed)

Thanks for answer Zezo, you the MAN:).
So in JVT (more than 90% truck downwind) on one account i'll use foils and on second c0 to see what the outcome will be.
Is it good idea to spend credits on foils and c0 in RSH to get higher place and more credits after finish? Where is the balance between spending to get higher place and saving for upcoming races or is it really sticking to free budget?(maybe some extra 200 for foils only) Also i see that upgrades cost more in longer races, but is the award higher? When you recommend spending/saving for keeping right level of budget?

There are no clear rules about awarded points, but you can probably justify spending 200 extra credits or so on foils. Should get them back with a reasonable ranking in the first few thousand boats.

But in the big picture you can't be really competitive without spending real money.

Thanks :)
I'll try to save some credits and start in a race with full pack to see if i can teach those rich ones a lesson ;)
This game miss lots of things, one is some proper irc rating, so it would be more competitive...
