Hi,

I've been tuning the network performance recently and made some small changes few days ago

1) Contents of the main chart page is now compressed. That should actually improve performance on slow links - size down from 70k to 10k

2) Better caching logic for the winds during the update. They were reloaded after every partial GRIB download. This was wasting a lot of traffic because the total file size is about 800k.

No complaints so far, so I guess it works.

Today I will be testing a CDN/(hosting/caching) the static chart images and wind data on another server.

Please drop me a note if you see some anomaly like missing map tiles or wrong/missing wind display (persisting after 5 minutes and one F5 page reload ;-). The routing itself won't be affected.

Hi, I�m looking at my VG chart. It seems to be calculating the suggested route ok BUT it�s not displaying the wind icons or the red, blue and green lines that emanate from the starting position.

Many thanks for all your great work!

Ps also, the rectangular box is displaying the suggested heading and twa (looks ok) BUT the winds are alway 0 deg, -0.54kts on my iPhone and 180 deg, 2kts on my iPad, both on Safari and Chrome ALSO Chrome on Windows

Thanks the bug report.

I reverted the changes. Looks like known safari problem. Also it does not work on my old iPad, even with the original URL, so I might have broken something else too.

I'll try to find a workaround or make it conditional and exclude safari before trying again.
