Hi, I am running the Sodebo race on VR using Zezo: I am facing difficulties with the destination point:
1) When going down to the south, I target Fernando de Noronha:! fine
2) then I set as destination point the south of africa then Cap Leuwin than Cap Horn: Good
3) Since I going north back to Brest I am really in trouble, setting Brest as Destination point gives me a road very "East", crossing Africa Which does not seem correct.

Can you explain to me how to define the destination point ?
Many thanks,

You should mostly follow the old trade routes and pilot charts. The route back after Cape Horn usually goes close to the Brazilian coast, which makes Fernando De Noronha a good default destination in both directions.

That's because of the trade wind patterns, and the doldrums are worse West close to the African coast.

There could be a shortcut slightly West across the Atlantic, but it all depends on the current low pressure systems. Most of the time you have to go even further East after passing Natal.

The big issue there is the route between the Cape and Natal. A lot of unstable high pressure systems and random passing lanes between them.
