Hi, for those who want to do the clipper 3/13 without taking all the options, a ranking is set up on the VR forum. To be classified in this one, you can equip yourself in the limit of 1200 credits offered. Everyone has the freedom to make his own choices without exceeding the ceiling. If you're interested, check out the VR Forum, leave a message here or via the boat on the race. Registration possible at any time.

A+,
Joris

Vas-y Guy inscris-toi. Tu seras à peine moins équipé que les autres.

I'll buy myself a C0 or high wind sails. And just foils for the testing boat in one of the races.

But with 4 races running simultaneously it will be impossible to participate successfully in all of them, even with just one boat.

as i have six boats, may be i can get some datas for you with one or other on race or another, with a particular configuration, as you want !

[Ironic mode on] We need to train to not sleep at all with the new VRO3, so a full participation to all races is recommanded- take the cards from the barrel at 1.00am-2.00am 3.00am, 4.00am and this during 4 weeks, what a wonderful life! !!!! [ironic mode off]

I guess that the mini is going to be quite boring, expect the start, so not too much work. I still wonder if I am going to do the Transat, I was hoping to see some changes already, with a pack navigation with the selection of cards we want, but nothing yet. So won't pay for that race.
When is the next leg of the VOR?

Nov 5th, along with VOR Leg2. Interesting race by itself, but not top priority this year.

I understand what you mean. So many races in the same time. Anyway i think it's a good way of playing for those who don't want or can't always play with full options. We just need a ranking to compare. Thanks again for your job and attention.

Yes interested! I have the radio and the strong wind sails. With one more additional constraint: to avoid SAS (Sailing Addiction Syndrome) I will be changing course maximum 3 times every 24 hours. Wind lock excluded of course. Is there a separate competition for that as well?

Sorry, i'l french and my english is not very good. Did not understand your last sentence. But, you're are welcome with us.

I want a ranking system for boats that only change course 3 times per day. locking the direction with respect to wind is allowed. Is that possible?
Post by iconPost by Mcfly BSP | 2017-10-30 | 21:55:36
Hi. Sorry, but skippers can change as often as they want the direction of their boat. The only restriction is équipement allowed within 1200 crédits.

Great Idea! I am still in. I cant find the site anymore?

We'll race heavy sails vs. C0 then. BTW it looks that we'll be riding a low pressure system for a while so actual sails won't matter much - routing differs just by few nm 9 days ahead.

BTW the foils make more difference than pro sails but then they are more expensive than 1200 points but then my boat has some credits from previous legs but then the foils may not work. What should I do finally? ;-)

Do what you really really want but go with us:-)

I have just recently joined, so I am really poor. I need to sleep under bridges.

I intent to save my money to equip my boat for the VOR stages. The other races will just do with the in-race supplied money. 1200 available for Clipper part 3.

The ranking will be online every day in the afternoon at this address. http://pddvr.over-blog.com/

For now, we are very very (go again a ... very) few. No matter, let's hope others join us later. Registration is open throughout the race.

I have configured C0, +radio since it was 'free' :). My only other possible advantage is that being on the West Coast of the US, I am awake when most of you should be asleep! But since that works both ways, I look forward to competing on a level playing field, without spending more money.

Joris,
Merci pour le votre travail.
John

Post by iconPost by Mcfly BSP | 2017-11-01 | 02:27:33
Hi, i'm sorry but to be sure: do want Big Bird@zezo.org on the ppd challenge with only C0 ?
Post by iconPost by Inicio | 2017-10-31 | 21:10:01
C0
Cvetan, have you checked routes only with C0? Big or small difference?
Post by iconPost by blkhd48 | 2017-10-31 | 21:16:18
Count me in please. Heavy weather sails and polish.
But I won't be competitive as I plan to use as few cards as possible.
How about making the finish 5min. before the VR finish and then we can park up and open barrels until the end of the race.

Hi McFly,
I did see your message in the game. Now it is gone and I do not know how to get it back.

I am participating with your race. I have radio and strong wind sails. Only with the 1200 for this leg.

Kind regards

You can see the message if you know the author - find the boat (ranking/friends or search) and open a new chat by clicking the envelope. Should have history included.

Also seems to work via the main menu, social icon -> followers. Just no message indicator.
