My boat Inicio "ran aground" without ground, in the middle of the sea. He was stopped for half an hour. My other boat Alina, which was behind, almost reached it.
I got a notice of run aground. When I returned to the game, with maximum zoom, I saw that the boat was stopped, transparent, and only showed water under it.
I still had not taken any action when the boat started to move on its own.

I asked for a redress.

I know that this same problem has been described in the forum. But I think it deserves a topic because it seems frequent

good to know, I would say make a screenshot with boat position visible to support a redress request

Ahoy Skippers. I have run aground twice in the VOR 4th leg so far, with half of the race still to go, for me.

Firstly, when more than a nautical mile off shore, leaving the Solomon Strait on the Eastern end of Bouganville Island.

And the second time, about 120 nautical miles North East of the island of New Ireland, when North of the Bismark Archipelago.

The second grounding took me about an hour fifty minutes to find away off the reef.

My boat is WildWassa, if you are in the race. My track shows both groundings well ... particularly the second grounding where each time I managed to free the boat, just to be trapped again on another part of the reef. This happened several times. I've lost just over 1000 places during the two groundings

The VOR is my second race on VR. I have learnt a lot. Particularly to avoid the pale blue shaded water ... when well away from the shore, if possible.

Sometimes if the cell connection is slow, it does that just on your device until the speed data is communicated. It isn't actually zero on the server. (I mean... I've seen it that way, but I don't know for sure whether or not that's what happened in your case)

Help! I'm going to run aground on the longitud line!

Anyone seen this before?? It was only shown for a certain zoom level. Zooming in or out the effect disappeared.

I've seen the artefact before. Problem is that the interface uses the screen rasterizer to check for grounding and that depends on current zoom level.

The line itself may happen because of missing chart image at certain zoom (because of network error for example). Then it will get substituted with lower-res image.
