Wondering if you could give me an idea when foils come into play and what are the advantages?

Thanks LaughingSally

They give you 4% speed increase on a broad reach in certain wind speeds.

Actually, between 90 and 150 degree TWA and 16 and 35 knots TWS.

They even give you some advantage outside of those ranges because they kick in gradually.

Hi LaughingSallyLRT 😉,
The foils are at 100% from TWS 16 kt to 35 kt for TWA 80 ° to 160 °, you're boat speed is multiplied by 1.04
They are active from TWS 11.1 kt to 39.9 kt for TWA 71 ° to 169 °
