Grib Files update and routing

Do you know how Zezo calculates routes for the first two hours during the period between NOAA grib file updates and VR Game grib file updates?
(e.g., 9:40 GMT in the game vs. approx. 6:00 GMT for NOAA)?
Is it based on new gribs or based on the game gribs ?

One of the changes with the 0.25 degree winds is that the forecast is no longer integrated with the current conditions. New data takes effect strictly in a future point of time.

So no need to interpolate between 3 files for the routing, and more importantly, your scheduled route won't change randomly during the weather updates.

Do the 0.25-degree winds support the routing of Zezo in VG, or are they 0.5/1.0-degree NOAA winds?"

Everything is 0.25. But rounded to 6 bit resolution, so the original NOAA float files won't match the game exactly.

BTW you can get the grib files from the game directly. Can be done with a little script or something. Someone should update the dashboard to do it ;-)

https://vro-api-client.prod.virtualregatta.com/dl?t=fwr gives you a list and like this

"references": [
"20241215.00.012",
"20241215.06.009",
...
"root": "https://static.virtualregatta.com/winds/fine/{YYYYMMDD}/",
"extension": ".grb"

which translates to

https://static.virtualregatta.com/winds/fine/20241215/20241215.00.012.grb
and so on. They started blocking certain user-agent strings recently, but that should not be a problem.
