Import Zezo grib in QTVLM
Post by iconPost by TheeooTop | 2024-11-11 | 23:41:00

Hello all,

Small question, i am trying to import the all.grib in QTVLM, but i noticed some big differences between the grib displayed in QTVLM and the one on zezo website after i downloaded it in QTVLM (+/- 7kts right now), maybe there is something to do to improve that ?

Thanks !

Hello TheeooTop and all,

I have the same problem : when I import all.grib in qtVlm, the grip which appears does not show the exact same values that those we can see in zezo.

@TheeooTop, maybe you already have the answer to this problem ?

Bye,

Brice {Blue Knight}

It is not clear if these grib are maintained anymore. What is for sure is that they use the old 1 degres definition, not the 0.25 used on current races. This might explain the differences.

I'm not sure but I think the 0.25 girbs files are in http://zezo.org/grib/original/.
Not sure if they are valid cause I see: some file dated 2022, some "hours " missing.
Anyway, those gribs need to be merged manually in one file or (not sure it works) with the merge gribs in QTVLM.

.. and looking at it another way... in qtvlm you can download GFS gribs from XyGrib (max 10 days) or get emailed from saildocs (again max 10 days). This data "should" be the same used in Zezo and in the game.
